Guidelines for Invited / Oral Presentation

The KSMO 2019 Committee would like to thank you for your participation.
Here are a few tips to make sure your experience is successful. Please read carefully, and contact us if you have any questions.

1. Presentation Time

  • -Please be sure to keep to the allocated presentation time in consideration of the next speaker.
  • -Arrive at your session room at least 10 minutes before the session begins.
  • -You will be responsible for controlling/advancing your presentation slides.

2. Presentation File Format

  • -As for the aspect ratio of your presentation file (slides), a ratio of 4:3 is recommended.
  • -Microsoft Office PowerPoint (PPT) 2010 or PDF.
  • -Use a common font, such as Arial, Times New Roman, Verdana etc. (Special fonts might be changed to a default font.)
  • -Images should be in JPG, GIF or BMP format.

3. Submitting the Presentation File

  • -Please visit the Preview Room at least 2 hours before your scheduled presentation and bring your presentation files on a USB memory stick.
  • -Presenters are requested to check their presentation files to ensure they work correctly in our system.

4. Equipment

  • -Session rooms will be equipped with a computer, projector and microphone.
  • -The podium will be equipped with a monitor, microphone, mouse and smart pointer.
  • -We DO NOT recommend using your own laptop computer for your presentation to avoid problems with computer-projector compatibility.
  • **Apple Macintosh / Apple Keynote / Personal Laptop Users: Please visit the onsite preview room and bring your Mini Display Port-VGA Adapter.
** Disclosure of COI
To ensure full transparency, it is requested that any conflict of interest (COI) to be openly declared and identified at the beginning (or, end) of every presentation to inform the audience.

Please use the template provided for the declaration of the presence of COI.
Every poster presentation should have a similar declaration regarding COI at the bottom of the poster.

1. Poster Presentation Instructions

KSMO 2019 Posters will be displayed on-site on multiple large LCD television screens available for electronic viewing during the Congress for all participants. The posters do not require printing or production of materials – as your work will be available for viewing electronically.
  • -Posters will not be scheduled, but they can be viewed and discussed during the breaks on all screens.
  • -E-Posters for KSMO 2019 will use 64″ digital screens.
  • -Use the template which you can download from our website as a starting point when making your E-Poster, and upload it to your “My Page” of the online abstract submission system.

2. How to prepare your E-poster

  • Step 1 All E-posters should be prepared in English.
  • Step 2 Please download the template to prepare your E-poster. Go download
  • Step 3 Upload your poster (PDF file) to the online abstract submission system.

3. E-poster Template

  • -Use the template as a starting point when making your E-Poster.
  • -The presentation will then be saved as a single page PDF, without moving content.
  • -If you do not use the following template, the size of the E-Poster should be 3023.62x5291.34 pixels (width x height) or set 80x140cm in PowerPoint.
  • -When you finish your entries in PowerPoint, convert it to PDF by clicking File -> Export -> Then select PDF format and click on Save.

4. Selected Proffered Display

Some outstanding abstracts have been selected for display on the Poster Panel onsite to encourage more discussion and networking among our participants during the conference. Please refer to the below information.
  • -The proffered display poster would be the same as the E-poster you submit.
  • -After you submit your E-poster, KSMO 2019 will print out your poster and affix it.
